SALES TRAINING THE WAY FORWARD

Tailoring for Your Needs

We believe that the off-the-shelf approach to sales training is cheap, but not cost-effective and has little value to the company or sales people. Have you ever calculated the cost of having a senior sales person off-the-road? Companies tell us that they have calculated a cost of $40,000 per day. So the actual training cost for design, development and delivery is fairly insignificant compared to these costs.

So if you are taking sales people away from customer facing time, there has to be a value to all concerned. The best way to ensure value is to start by doing a proper TNA (see Training Needs Analysis (TNA)). This will ensure that the required thought and planning has gone into the final program.

Remember all training companies have standard modules and ideas that they have successfully used in the past. What we are saying, is by all means use these as some of the building blocks of the training, but don't use the standard generic module. Sales people will be much more engaged and receptive if the information and exercises are related to their real roles.

Can we assist with your training requirements? Just email us now with your details and we'll get back to you.
